Manaroa is a Colin Child's design sailing yacht built by Stark Bros, Lyttelton in 1973. 1" carvel planked Kauri copper fastened with all non ferrous fittings. 1" stainless shaft and rudder stock. NZ registered ship been to Australia and the Pacific Islands. 27 hp 3GM30 4 stroke diesel engine, 1000 hrs, dripless PSS shaft seal. Just been slipped and painted. 20 new ribs and 400 Cu fastenings fitted beginning 2015. Skeg reinforced with new kauri cheeks. Original teak deck renewed in glass over ply. Full wooden dodger for all weather protection. 3 reef mainsail and large roller furling Genoa, two spinnakers and an easy dripping pole. Blocks and running rigging in order, inc. new main sheet & traveller. New 80 ltr SS FW tank. Separate toilet with holding tank. Gas hob. Dickinson Newport diesel heater. Double berth and two singles. Surveyed VHF, hand held radios, EPIRB, GPS chart plotter, sounder, auto pilot, 70 m 8 mm chain, Maxwell windlass, 2 anchors, stern & mooring lines.
